Giftedness

An assessment of possible giftedness – abilities that are significantly greater than typical for one’s age – consists of testing to evaluate both intellectual abilities and academic abilities. It allows parents, educators, and other clinicians to better understand a child’s performance relative to children of the same age. It can be useful in identifying areas of strength and weakness, identifying areas for additional learning support or acceleration, and evaluating suitability for selective streaming or placement. This assessment is available for children aged 6 years or older.
